It has been seen that an average American house has at least $10,000 in credit card debt. However, people manage to pay off only the minimum which is 2% of the balance. If you calculate, you will notice that 2% of $ 10,000 is actually $200; and if you pay off like this it may take years and years before you actually make the final payment.
